everyone by the time you’re watching
this video this will already be gone from here but just for these couple of
minutes and just for this video I wanted to show you Ninjago city the official
set in the context of other large buildings large official buildings from
Lego now this is built on a 32 by 32 baseplate which makes it the same size
as the standard area that’s taken up by one of these other modular buildings
we’ve gotten in a creator line and interestingly they even use the exact
same technique pin arrangement along the backside so this side over here and also
the side that’s farthest away from us so you can actually connect this thing
directly to these modular buildings and it’ll fit right in
size-wise you know I’ve got it next to the the Town Hall here which was the
tallest one which kind of you know helps to blend things a little bit that wasn’t
really intentional but you know it definitely towers over the other modular
buildings or the modular buildings but it’s not too crazy it looks like it’s
trying to be you know in just an area of town that has been built up a bit more
the only thing that really doesn’t work here I think is the kind of blend
between well the lack of a blend between the sidewalks because this does have the
water around the edges which kind of looks nice and reminds me of some things
that I’ve seen in Japan town and around the edge you’re pretty near to a
Chinatown in in my region where they just have you know little little areas
that have some water that might have some koi in them and stuff but the
problem here is that the sidewalks don’t match up because the sidewalk is
elevated the water part is pretty cool but I think that just with a bit of
modification to this edge you could kind of make it work one other thing that
doesn’t work is the corner so you don’t have any way for your pedestrians to get
down to the street level over here since this is definitely a corner specific
unit but it I think it looks better than I expected in the context of all of
these and you know the set itself just looks so good that it tends to tense to
bring some some positivity some some life some brightness to any scene where
you place it around the sides it doesn’t look as great but you know I think the
modular buildings themselves actually looked worse around the the non camera
friendly angles but that’s that’s debatable and it definitely has a
different shape around the back here but I think it kind of makes sense for what
it is just doesn’t necessarily blend in so well if you have a bunch of these in
a line and certainly if you had another building I don’t have one that will fit
into this space here but I think you had another one here it would really create
that hollow space that just becomes kind of a canal there is room at the at the
back of most of the modular buildings though the official ones so you could
add some water down into there if you want to blend them into the Ninjago city
set you know just allow that water to come around back here that could kind of
come through this way and if you have another one next to it it could also
spill out in this direction just some interesting ideas and interesting
possibilities for how to make this work that’s just that hope this was a useful
video for you I gave you somewhat of an idea of how this would all work out and
I’m going to get to work on my next video so I’ll be talking to you again
soon thanks for watching you
The Ninjago City set has already been removed by the time you're reading this and will not be put back, as noted at the beginning of the video. There will be no Ninjago, Chinatown, or Japantown section in my layout. See the partial list of things that will be added and things that will not: http://jangbricks.com/queue
I know you only want MOC's in your city but I gotta cay the Ninjago city set and those modular city sets looks awesome
it Also makes me sad to know that your probably gonna deconstruct the set for parts lol
Dude congrats and thanks for everything you do it really helps me .love your channel and good luck and keep up the good work
Plz make a forest section
Looks great jang
Looks great! Very interesting addition. Love it!
It looks good in the city though
This set is an excellent starting framework for creating a cyberpunk city.
I am not into Lego Ninjago but this set is very cool! Very appealing to the eye.
So good
I know you want your City to be filled with your own creations, so I assumed any modular set you reviewed was quickly deassembled and parted out. But here we see a bunch of them in a line. Do you have a 2nd Lego City set up elsewhere filled with official sets awaiting disassembly ?
i saw the connector pins and I smelled a new series of modulars from Lego specific to the Ninjago theme. Quickly bought it cuz im not getting left behind this time like with the regular Creator modular buildings.
thank you so much for showing 🙂
Hi Jangbrickes I love ninjago and I love you your my fav like if you agree
It would be cool to have an entire city in this sets theme. Just imagine a multi layered city with a Japanese, cyberpunk look to it
my god it fits in perfectly !!!!!!
I love hutts pizza
Are you going to destoy it
You should make a Gondalina like in Italy or was it Greese
city looks great as usual keep it up
I'm pretty sure that they're gonna make more sets like this to go with it
OMG JANG THE CHINESE RESTAURANT IS GONNA BE SO COOL AND INTERESTING! I CAN'T WAIT
Hey Jang! Why don't you add the Agents on your city? They're set in the same universe.
That is awesome
idk why but it kinda blended in the rest of the city
could i ask when are you going to complete the lazer tag and music store very interested in seeing the final product thanks
Build a military base that the soldiers are Star Wars clones.
I so want that set. It just looks brilliant
You can make tiny park or garden behind thoes buildings
cool!
nice!
Cool!
i hate the bigger road on the nijago set
how many legos do have do you have like a million
Thank you!
It's an entirely different thing from the modulars but I think it's still nice that they made it modular compatible out of the box, I think that closing off the waterway on all sides is the least that can be done to make it blend in better with them if anyone wants to display it next to the modular buildings but overall it's probably better off as it's own standalone thing.
Nice job
But it's kinda weird since the ninjago city have water but the surroundings have no water because the guy with the boat can't go anywhere
Are you gonna disassemble it completely? It's a beautiful set D:
I'm already just gonna say this is amazing! Instead of leaving the set alone to kinda look like a city, you add the set with a city! That's really smart and so cool!
Jangbricks you are epic😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏is
All these years and you are still awesome, God Bless you Jang!
It would be good thing that lego make another one lego ninjago building.
looks crazy good
Wow that's amazing
Really want for Christmas!
I love it
That's pretty cool👍
Thanks for this video. Can you make a similar type of video with the old fishing store when it comes out?
I am so making space for this when I buy/build a home.
noice
hey jang there's Philippines also have does water creaks
Woowwww omg😱😄😄!!!
go jang yayayayay i began to absolutly adore lego about 2 years ago i made my own city because of your brilliant vids then i started to get bored of lego and my dad was like 'shall we sell it' and i said no everytime and now ive started to get back into it thanks jang ur the best
You should build a block or half a block of Asian styled buildings to add more diversity to the city.
assembly square looks small
If Ninjago City was offset a few studs back, its building's walls as well as the canal in back would line up a lot better, plus it would allow some room for you to create a barrier for the water in front and create a walkway to the street. It'd be an awesome addition to the city if you were up to it, though with your other expansions going on… meh.
Must be hard picking up and moving these things without small pieces breaking off, I imagine.
it would be so cool if you kept it
How often do you let out your inner child and drive one of those cars around going "vroom vroom"?
If the answer is not at least once a week you have a problem.
If you ever move how would you move all of this just wondering?
Is this set better than destiny's bounty
This is nice
Use clear glass to cover the back
do you have a temple of airjitzu (70751) that you could put with it? im curious to see how they compare and interact with each other.
My Lego Modular street: https://youtu.be/qgaxG_YTmVo
How do you put things in the middle of that table?
saitama in 0:30
It's just so ugly.
You should make ninja go city or China 🇨🇳 town and put the ningago city
I'd enjoy an integrated Japantown style modular building for my modular city collection, but Ninjago City is too wacky in concept for it to fit.
BRO HOW
You should make a China town
Ninjago nerd me to!!!!
ninjagocity or slave 1? which should I buy….
That's cool
It looks great. I think you should have kept it in so it could be like a Chinatown or something. And yes, I know it’s Japanese, before very one starts telling me that. Thanks and great video, Jang!
why
Cool, your ninjago city is awesome
that building looks so good there..i think u should leave it and make more building with that same style.
I really really love this set, but it doesn't really fit with the other modulars in my opinion, which is a shame 😛
You are the best Lego YouTuber ever
I want to make my own
O woooooow
Has anyone tried to connect four of them in a square?
I think it might work
You are so good at building I might have to hire you to build my legos
Your city is amazing
Did you know that Ninjago City is the fifth biggest Lego set ever?
the thing i did i bought 3, i built 1 according to the constructions and the 2 i made it to make a real ninjago city
Move it back it looks so cool
you need the ghostbusters firehouse to complete your town and Wayne manor then you'll have a perfect city 😀
how much does all of that cost I would like to buy it
Es increíble
There will be anew set it will blend in with the Ninjago city it is the Ninjago city docks
Jang, you should extend you city through the door and into the next room.
Stop mr ugly pictured LEGO minifigure
I think you should have kept it up
AWSOME
Ninjago city was the funnest build ever, it was like 10 small awesome builds in 1. the water at the bottom was also a really great idea.
I'm going to put it next to my diner
